FB Banner complete..

FB banner tested on my site

As u can see if we decide to have logo in the actual picture it needs to be moved small box picture covers the logo photo so i will have a version of the logo where it is moved to the right more and then there will be one without it  in case we need it too.

The green is now the right colour: and in the right position. I asked the Giselle why it was that in illustrator the colour was right but when you could see it on the fb banner it was the wrong green. It was because illustrator and JPEGs and the internet don't particularly get on all the time because of the quality.. So its not saved as a tiff on high quality for the internet and its now in rgb mode which has helped sort the colour out.

This is it without the logo on the main banner.

The picture to the right was hand drawn by me and then gone over in illustrator with a lot of patience lol and coloured in.

851 x 315 FB banner  in illustrator. I have argued a lot with illustrator as theborder kept making the width go longer so I have had to keep altering but finally it is there. I have also altered the logo border so that it fits more snugger to the edge of the logo and no white space is now seen.

Group Exercise 1

For our idea we have chose to do a touchscreen help point for university students but with a few differences.

Research suggest that there is other kiosks out there in universities that offer things such as:

ColumbiaNet kiosk stations provide easy access to a wide variety of campus information, electronic mail, USB drive access, and access to the Internet. Placed in lobbies, libraries, and lounges across campus, they are accessible to anyone at Columbia.

However what we find that is different for this kiosk that we are creating is that it will offer the students more chances to have user interactivity with things such as: logging into registers, being able to reserve computers when they are free so that there is more of an equal chance of being able to get to use the software and the computer time.

Wireframes

After trying for ever to change my password on here for weeks, some weird malfunction here is my wireframes and inspiration pictures.

I decided to use abook in my design somewhere as it seems to be a trademark for me to put one in somewhere. This one is used to tell the story of two guinea pigs dreams of going on Xfactor.

Wireframes
The problem with design was that I struggled to put navigtion in the right place.  A possible option was using forward and backward buttons. However the javascript I also wanted with this design was not working.

Navigation

I like the navigation menu on this page within a picture frame. As I took pictures on my first visit to london not long ago this could fit in very well.

Now just got to figure out where to start :-/ haha.

Week 1 - Three Websites

First post of the new year and yet again I have got technical problems and other complicated problems lol. I have currently got no computer of my own and the home computer really does not like interactive or flash websites much. Basically doesnt like hardwork. lol.

The purpose of this website is to showcase a creative porfolio using inventive techniques to let the user play with the website at their own choice.

  • Good - I love the fact that this website when you click on a picture it pops up as a seperate window on the website so it lets you focus in a small box rather than eyes wondering around the full screen.
  • Disadvantage of this website is just the fact that the flowers at the bottom pop up over the numbers the different pages and any text that appears occasionally that far down on the website.

At least I got one found, the home computer has decided not to work anymore as it can't cope. Right off now was computer is threatening to shut this all down.
